Crafted by the talented BrickDuvel and shared on Rebrickable, this masterpiece is a love letter to all things medieval, modular, and mighty.

The idea? Simple yet brilliant: give the new Horse Knight faction the stronghold they deserve! While the LEGO^® Creator Medieval Horse Knight Castle (31168) set is already a nostalgic treat, BrickDuvel has gone the extra mile by combining two sets to build a sprawling, functional stronghold — no extra pieces needed, just double the fun.

This custom build uses nearly 2,500 parts out of the approx. 2,700 available in two sets. And get this: the open-back design boosts playability without compromising the classic castle look. From the outside, all you see are regal towers and fortified walls. Flip it open, and voilà — it’s an interactive medieval playground!

What's Inside the Castle Walls?

The stronghold is built in four removable sections for easy access and rearrangement:

• Front gatehouse with a working drawbridge to welcome (or ward off) visitors.

• Side building with a forge, kitchen, and dining room.

• Second side building featuring a horse stable, towering watchtower, and a secret wall — classic castle intrigue!

• Back gatehouse with a functioning portcullis, some chambers, and a charming mini market.

And yes, it includes two brick-built horses to patrol the grounds or simply look majestic.

With a footprint of 48cm wide, 35cm deep, and 24cm tall, this stronghold makes a commanding display piece while staying within reach for builders of all ages. And because it’s based on a 3-in-1 Creator set, you’re still staying budget-conscious while building something big, bold, and battle-ready.
